Electrotherapy<\/span><\/h1>

Electrotherapy is one of the oldest forms of treatment and was mentioned as early as 46 AD in the form of treatment with the electric ray. Electrotherapy uses electrical currents to activate and support the natural healing processes in the body. The counter-irritation, the functional imitation principle, the muscle stimulation but also the promotion of biochemical processes for healing purposes are used.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Introduction<\/span><\/h2>

In direct electrotherapy, i.e. current is coupled in via electrodes through the skin, a distinction is made between the following classes:<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

NF - low frequency currents<\/strong>.<\/p>

This is the classic application (which was also used for the electric ray). Individual impulses are usually applied at the site of pain. The effect is determined by the form of the impulse and the repetition frequency (0.10 to 200 Hz). Literally hundreds of current forms are known.<\/p>

The NF application is typically less pleasant for the patient.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
